When we talk about our health, physical activity is a major part of that. The combination of hiking, nature, and sunlight equals a very healthy recipe for your body. This combo means a boost in vitamin d, a release of healthy neurotransmitters, detoxification, strength building, and so many other rewarding benefits for our body, specifically protecting and promoting the health of our heart, bones, and brain.
Plus it’s a great way to spend time with your family and teach them about the beauty that God surrounds us with.
Most of the time, you don’t have to go far to enjoy some fresh air and get your heart pumping, just step outside. Go for a walk in your neighborhood, go to a local park, explore state parks or national parks, etc.
If you live in Arkansas, then the places to explore are endless.
Our adventure today was in Hot Springs, AR. We started at the Fordyce Bath House and hiked the Peak Trail, which is 0.6 miles to the tower (steady incline) and 0.6 miles back (1.2 miles round trip). Then we finished our trip with a smoothie in hand, exploring shops and eateries on Central Ave. On the way home, sissy napped and brother babbled away.
